Meet the Artist: KEO • kay kelison

As an abstract artist and certified art therapist with more than four decades of experience, I see every blank canvas—traditional, digital, or unconventional—as a boundless opportunity to explore emotion, humanity, and expression. My work is not merely paint and form, but a dialogue with the soul, translated through vibrant colors, shifting textures, and intuitive shapes.​

My journey as an artist extends beyond the studio. I also find deep creative fulfillment in cooking, where flavors become pigments and each dish a living canvas. Just as in painting, the act of preparing food is spontaneous yet intentional—an alchemy of transformation that nourishes body and spirit alike.

In both art and cooking, I uncover hidden stories and invite others to connect with their own emotional landscapes. Abstract art, like food, speaks in ways words often cannot—bridging culture, language, and lived experience. It is an invitation into introspection, a space where viewers discover not only the piece before them, but often a part of themselves.

I believe in the power of creativity to heal, to transform, and to connect. My art is a continuing journey of dialogue and discovery—one that I am grateful to share with others.
